At GHC, we run an extensive co-curricular programme each afternoon and on most weekends.
What is the difference between extra-curricular and co-curricular activities?
The use of the word co-curricular as opposed to extra-curricular highlights our holistic view of the education of your child. These activities do not take part after the school day has finished there are a fundamental part of the students’ education. Thus, they are not extra, they are co or part of the education that your son or daughter receives at GHC. During co-curricular time soft skills of resilience, confidence, problem solving, leadership and team work are developed. These skills play an important part in the overall development of the child and are proven to have a positive impact on their academic performance.
Our co-curricular sessions are between 2:35PM and 3:35PM each day. This is in recognition of the fact that the co-curricular programme is a core part of each student’s day. Students, in consultation with their parents, select from a range of activities. These suite of activities changes each term.
